English Classes


English Class at First Baptist Church

Where: First Baptist Church of Clemson 397 College Avenue, Clemson (enter from Sloan Street and look for signage)
When: Tuesday mornings (during the normal school semester only) Fall semester start date is Sept 12

Designed for those with a working knowledge of English who desire to improve their conversational skills as well as those who need help with more basic English skills. We will evaluate your skill level and determine how to best help you. There is no fee for this class.

Tigers Talk

Where: Clemson Presbyterian Church Fellowship Hall, 346 Old Greenville Hwy We are located right beside and behind the big First Citizens bank. CAT bus stops directly across the street.
When: Every Thursday evening, during the normal semester only. Spring semester begins January 18 and runs through March 29th. No class meets on March 22 (spring break).

Tigers Talk is an informal conversational English Class, open to all international students and their family members. This class is geared towards those who want to improve their conversational English. We discuss many cultural topics. You do not need to register for this class. Just attend any week that suits your schedule. Free child care and a nursery are provided and a refreshment time follows the class (8:30-9:15pm). Directions- Go to www.clemsonpres.org. Take RED route on the CAT bus and be dropped off in front of church.

English Classes at The Mount

Where: The Mount Church 827 Hwy 93 between Clemson & Central (across the road diagonally from Ingle's)
When: Tuesday evenings (during normal semester only). The first class of Spring 2018 is January 16. You can enroll at any time during the semester and we look forward to getting to know you! A full calendar of dates is available by contacting George Marshall.

FREE English classes for beginners, intermediate and advanced English speakers.

Private English Tutor

Where: She can come to your apartment or meet at library as needed
When: She will work with you to determine a time

Sarah Smith has her MA in TESL and has 7 years professional experience teaching adults and children. Sarah offers tutoring in: - Conversational English - Reading/Writing - Grammar - Speaking/Listening She will work with you on a time and place that is convenient. FEE: $20/hour
